How do I erase all old carrier features on prepaid mobile phone?

I changed my SIM card from Telstra to Optus on my phone. I got it unlocked so i could do that, but the phone still has telstra on my widget and a link for telstra internet (not optus internet) how do i get rid of the the telstra symbols and everyhting telstra.. I have tried all i could in settings!
