How to get my icon's back?

my brother was messing around with my laptop yesterday, and he had to do a system restore

well recently, when i went to turn my laptop on, all the desktop icon pictures have been replaced with this ugly picture of who knows what

its white with some sort of small blue thing on it

but this happened to not only the icons on my laptop, but everything!

when i click the 'start' button, everything that pops up has a thumbnail of this picture next to it

how do i change everything back to normal?How to get my icon's back?
have you tried right clicking on the desktop%26gt;left-click View and then changing how icons look from there?How to get my icon's back?
right click the screen click on personalize, click on change desktop icons (upper left, under the word task), click on restore default then apply,then ok. Hope this helps you
