Are you always logging in from the same computer? If so it's possible that they somehow installed a key logger on your computer and it's sending them whatever you type. Run a full system scan with your security software (Microsoft Security Essentials is a good free one if you run Windows).

The best and safest passwords are a mixture of random letters and numbers that have no meaning. Make sure you write down your new password and keep it somewhere where no one else will think of looking, ie not your school things.
Um, let's use some prevention techniques.....don't tell or show anyone your account name. Chances of anyone getting into your account w/o knowing your account name is slim to none.
