Fecal Impaction? I need help?

Hi all. I have a serious health issue. For about 2 years, I've suffered from constipation on and off, and it started to worsen.. I don't need to get into the details, but I think I may have a case of fecal impaction, which is pretty much matter stuck down there.. and it can cause serious health problems. Well I've felt this way awhile, and I need to change my stance and finally try to solve this problem, since all this time I was scared and nervous that there wouldn't be a cure and it would be hard.

Anyways, I don't even know how to go into a medical clinic and mention this issue, can anyone help me on what to say.. because I've suffered from chronic constipation for a long time and this fecal impaction idea is scaring me.

Also, I was thinking of going to a colonic clinic, is this risky.. it sounds safe to me.

THANKS ALL!Fecal Impaction? I need help?
Tell them you're having intestinal issues and have not had a bowel movement for x amount of days.

Mention you're having Pain, discomfort, etc.

Doctors and nurses have heard things much worse than a fecal impaction.Fecal Impaction? I need help?
You really need to see a doctor if this has been causing you problems for the last 2 years, especially if you say your symptoms are becoming worse. You need some diagnostic tests to see what's going on. It's not something to take lightly, and there's no need to feel ashamed when approaching a doctor about this because it's actually a common problem and it's nothing new to them. Good luck! :)
Anyone in the medical field, Dr., etc. is very familiar with your problem %26amp; perhaps is the # 1 problem discussed between Patient %26amp; Doctor so you just need to tell them that you have chronic constipation %26amp; believe that you may be impacted.

Do you drink enough, because fluids can/will improve your problem along with activity such as walking, etc.

Also, you may consider taking a stool softener daily, you can purchase them in any pharmacy, Walmart, etc. as they are over the counter %26amp; the generic brands work well %26amp; not expensive.

I would first ask your Dr. about taking them.

Yes, if you ignore this problem , it could cause more serious problems, so please help yourself to feeling better by visiting your Dr.

This is a most common problem %26amp; nothing to be embarrassed by !

Good Luck !
Eat more fiber, take a laxative.

If you're not feeling better in a few days, go to a doctor and tell them you're thinking about a colonic or enema.
